Dating all the way back to 1879, Québec City’s Funicular gives its visitors a unique way to view the city. The Funicular travels at a 45 degree angle and takes its passengers from Louis Jolliet House, in the center of Lower Town, to Dufferin Terrace: a 210-foot trip.

Aside from a few kinks here and there, the Funicular has been in continual service since it was first made in 1879. Modern updates now allow year-round service to locals and visitors alike, making this ride a must in every season!

Riding in a cabin of the Funicular will give you a whole new perspective from which to see the city; the magnificent views make this attraction a must in Québec City. Before leaving, make sure to shop for unique souvenirs at the gift shop located in the French-Colonial style base station!
