The 18-acre farm run by Liz Ouellet and her husband is located just 15 minutes from Quebec City (la ville de Québec), but as their web site promises, Ouellet's farm offers "the best of the Île d’Orléans."

The crops grown at La Ferme Liz Ouellet were specially chosen for their suitedness to the climate and the soil found on the Île d’Orléans. The farm sells each crop fresh during their growing seasons: asparagus in mid-May to mid-June, and blackcurrants and raspberries in mid-July to mid-August. Throughout the rest of the year, the fruits are available as syrups, vinegars, jams and jellies. During raspberry season, visitors also have the opportunity to pick their own raspberries in a specially set-aside field of bushes that naturally have no thorns.

This type of consideration for the customer is typical at La Ferme de Liz Ouellet, where the high quality of their products is a direct result of the farmers' care and attention to detail. Agritourists can learn all about La Ferme de Liz Ouellet's growing techniques and their dedication to the ecological health of the region during an individual or group visit (reservations required). Visitors are also welcome to sample the farm's delicious preserved goods. The blackcurrant syrup is especially tasty and versatile!
