The Musee du Fort is located across from the Chateau Frontenac and just above the restaurant La Chic Shack in the heart of Upper Town. The museum is essentially a big, modern diorama demonstration on the military history of Quebec City. It is an engaging 30 minute light and sound show. What will appeal to kids is seeing the characters come to life-like real action figures. For the adults, it will give an entire overview offering a great unbiased perspective. There is a great boutique selling books and souvenirs as well as some collector items which makes it very different from the copious amounts of souvenir shops.
