Quebec Levis Ferry

The Québec–Lévis ferry is available year-round and takes its passengers from one side of the Saint Lawrence River to the other. A short, 10-15 minute journey will take you from Quebec City to the town of Lévis.

Jump aboard the ”M.V. Alphonse-Desjardins” or the ”’M.V. Lomer-Gouin” on the shore of Old Quebec for a remarkable view of  and some time off your feet. These ferry boats can hold an astounding 700 passengers and 54 vehicles, covering the distance across the river in as little as 10 minutes.

On board, passengers can view an exhibition in the lounge, which relates the history of the Québec-Lévis ferry through models, photos, and sculptures. Or browse the large photos of both shores decorating the top deck, allowing you to identify specific attractions on the shores both day and night from the ferry.

People love to take the ferry back and forth for the typical photo of Quebec City from across the river.
