Cote a cote Quebec

Our Top 10 restaurants in Quebec City

Our Top 10 Restaurants in Quebec City   was a difficult list to put together because we don’t think we have ever had a bad meal in Quebec City. We included our personal favorites, listed in no particular order, including a vote from our daughter who has a very developed palate. Enjoy!

Le Chic Shack

Excellent location offering views of the Chateau Frontenac as well burgers so juicy they forgo napkins and just leave a roll of paper towels on the table. The artisanal milkshakes and homemade sodas are delicious. This place is also quite affordable compared to many places in the middle or tourist Quebec City.

Cochon Dingue

Maple Smoked Ribs…I salivate as I type this. The ribs are out of this world as well as their mussels and salads. Cochon Dingue also has one of the best children’s menus which includes three courses and a drink. Besides the typical chicken fingers and grilled cheese, it offers grilled salmon and vegetables.

Casse-crepe Breton

Do not be intimidated by the line that is often out the door because it moves very quickly. There is a really good reason for this line. In our opinion the best crepes in Quebec City both savory and sweet. It is also very reasonably priced.

Buffet de L’Antiquaire

This is where the locals go because the food is traditional, good and very reasonable. It has the feel of a typical diner. The traditional Quebecois meat pie was delicious.

Le Saint Amour

Dining here is an experience. It is one of the finest restaurants in Quebec. We highly recommend going for lunch which is reasonably priced for a gourmet restaurant of its quality. The ambiance, food and service are all exquisite. The best part is that they embraced our daughter when we went. Keep in mind, they do not have a children’s menu. If your children are experienced eaters they will enjoy this restaurant. My daughter was given a tour of the kitchen.
