Fendel & Lilo Cheesecake: Notes From Our Quebec City Visit

Scene from our 2023 visit to Fendel and Lilo in Quebec City

This article records our first-hand visit in August 2023. Independent businesses change; confirm the current address, hours and service before travelling.

Fendel & Lilo stood out for two things during our visit: small cheesecakes served in an individual format and a backyard terrace that felt removed from the traffic on boulevard Bastien.

What we found

The entrance led toward a generous outdoor seating area. The terrace was well lit and carefully decorated, giving us a relaxed place to sit rather than treating the stop as takeout only. Restrooms were available during our visit.

The cheesecakes we tried

The cakes were portioned more like cupcakes than full cheesecakes, which made it easy to try more than one flavour. We sampled piña colada and hazelnut. Both tasted fresh and rich, with the dense texture we expect from cheesecake and presentation polished enough to make the small format feel deliberate.

There was a queue during our visit. That is useful historical context, but it should not be read as a promise about present wait times.

Who this stop suited

Based on our visit, Fendel & Lilo made the most sense for someone who wanted dessert and a place to linger outdoors. The individual portions were also easier to share across several flavours than a conventional slice.

Planning note

The address recorded during our visit was 2694 boulevard Bastien, Québec. Verify the current location and opening hours before going; this page is a dated field note, not a live business listing.
