Start in Upper Town near Château Frontenac and Dufferin Terrace, then descend toward Place Royale and Petit-Champlain. The funicular is useful if steep streets or stairs are a concern.

9. Add Île d’Orléans or Wendake
Île d’Orléans suits a food-and-scenery drive. Wendake offers Huron-Wendat history and living culture; approach it as a community, not a themed attraction.
10. Match the trip to the season
Summer brings festivals and terraces, autumn color, winter Carnival and snow, and spring lower crowds with changeable weather. Confirm event dates and outdoor conditions before building the day around them.
