What stood out

Le Bonne Entente’s buffet felt more like a carefully assembled special-occasion brunch than a standard all-you-can-eat spread. The selection was not built around endless trays. It concentrated on fewer, higher-quality items and presented them in several smaller dining rooms, which kept the experience calmer than a large ballroom buffet.

Tartare, seafood and Quebec cheese

The tartare station was the strongest part of our visit, with both tuna and beef preparations. The seafood display included scallops on the shell, while the cheese station paired Quebec cheeses with staff who could explain the selections. A machine squeezing oranges to order was a small detail, but it reinforced the sense that freshness mattered.

Service and atmosphere

Even with a busy holiday crowd, the room did not feel hectic. Staff were present without hovering, and the smaller-room layout made it possible to take time over the meal. Compared with the grandeur of a hotel brunch at Château Frontenac, this felt more intimate and food-focused.

Who will enjoy it

This is best suited to diners who care more about seafood, tartare, cheese and attentive service than the sheer size of a buffet. It also works well for a family celebration because the atmosphere is polished without feeling stiff.

Before you reserve

The buffet we experienced was tied to special occasions such as Easter and Mother’s Day. Do not assume it runs every weekend. Check the hotel’s current restaurant and event information, ask what is included, and confirm pricing and dietary accommodations when reserving.
